PHINIA Makes Farnborough International Airshow Debut with Advanced Aerospace Manufacturing Capabilities

  • PHINIA expands European engineering and manufacturing capabilities to support growing global aerospace customer demand
  • European aerospace expansion gains momentum with two new customer wins, UK capability investment, and certification milestones
  • PHINIA to showcase more than a decade of expertise in advanced laser manufacturing and how it may be applied to aerospace applications

Auburn Hills, Mich. (JULY 16, 2026) – PHINIA Inc. (NYSE: PHIN), a diversified, industrial supplier and global leader in the development of fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions, will make its debut at Farnborough International Airshow 2026 (July 20–24, 2026), Europe's leading aerospace event. PHINIA will showcase its growing aerospace capabilities and advanced manufacturing technologies that may be used for current and next-generation propulsion systems.

Building on its participation at AeroEngines Americas earlier this year, PHINIA is expanding its aerospace presence across Europe, supporting two new customer programs through engineering and production activities in France and the United Kingdom. Its engineering center in Blois, France, is the company's first site certified to support aerospace programs, while PHINIA continues to invest in its UK engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Its facilities in Gillingham and Stonehouse have UK certification planned for Q4 2026 in readiness for customer program launch, whilst continuing to expand capacity to support customers across global aerospace and defense programs.

At Farnborough, PHINIA will highlight its ability to support global aerospace customers throughout the product lifecycle, from early-stage engineering and prototype development through qualification, industrialization, and full-scale production to supply both original equipment and service parts to the industry. This end-to-end approach is underpinned by expertise in precision manufacturing, including micron-level machining, flow control technologies, and proprietary production processes developed over decades of supplying highly engineered components to demanding industries.

These capabilities include electrical discharge machining (EDM), electrochemical machining (ECM), precision grinding, advanced coatings, and femtosecond laser machining—an area generating growing interest among aerospace customers seeking new approaches to precision component manufacturing.

Together, these capabilities enable PHINIA to serve as a single development and manufacturing partner, supporting customers, while maintaining the stringent quality and performance standards required for aerospace applications.

"We're continuing to invest in the people, processes, and infrastructure to better serve aerospace customers around the world," said Todd Anderson, VP and Chief Technology Officer, PHINIA. "What differentiates PHINIA is our ability to support customers throughout the entire development journey — from concept and prototyping through qualification and production. Combined with our expertise in precision manufacturing and advanced process technologies, this allows us to solve complex engineering challenges while reducing risk and complexity for our customers"

Continuing a legacy of innovation

Building on decades of experience in precision engineering and advanced manufacturing, PHINIA has secured EN9100 aerospace certification, launched two aerospace programs, and won two new aerospace contracts, demonstrating the transferability of its existing technologies and manufacturing expertise.

One area generating particular interest among aerospace customers is PHINIA's laser manufacturing capability. While laser machining remains relatively uncommon across much of the aerospace sector, PHINIA has been using femtosecond laser technologies in production environments for more than a decade. The technology enables highly precise cutting and drilling without introducing heat distortion, burrs, or material damage, helping customers achieve increasingly complex component designs with exceptional accuracy and consistency.

In addition, PHINIA is seeing strong interest in its laser welding capabilities, which offer high-strength, repeatable joins with minimal thermal impact, supporting the demanding performance and reliability requirements of aerospace applications.

"Our strength lies in taking proven technologies, engineering expertise, and manufacturing capabilities and applying them to new challenges," continued Anderson. "We're seeing strong interest from aerospace customers looking for partners that can deliver both precision and scalability. The capabilities we've developed over many years in fuel systems and advanced manufacturing are highly transferable, creating exciting opportunities as we continue to expand our presence in aerospace and defense."

Visitors to Farnborough International Airshow 2026 and the PHINIA stand (Hall 4, Stand 4810) will have the opportunity to learn more about PHINIA's aerospace manufacturing capabilities through interactive displays, digital demonstrations and technical discussions with the company's engineering specialists.
