SOCIAL

People are at the heart of our approach to sustainability. In 2024, we expanded professional development opportunities and empowered our people through talent programs, total rewards initiatives, and community engagement.

Employee Health and Well-being

Our “YOU Matter” total rewards program is designed to provide benefit programs and resources that support the physical, mental, and financial well-being of all our employees.

In physical health and well-being, we provide comprehensive health and preventive care insurances, support for chronic conditions, and physical activity incentives including gym memberships. Nearly 1,300 employees joined PHINIA Active, launched in 2024, encouraging them to stay active and support local communities.

Our other support initiatives include mental health and well-being, in which we also offered first aid training opportunities in 2024. We also provide income protection, tuition reimbursement, agile work policies and a range of other benefits.

Learning, Development, and Engagement

In 2024, we increased the breadth of development opportunities that we offer our people. This includes access to learning platforms, with an available library of over 8,000 courses.

We organize certifications and technical training through our Delphi Academy, and our Career Path initiatives enable employees to experience different roles and enhance their technical, leadership, and other skills. We also promote a 70/20/10 learning model focused on structured training, experiential learning, and collaboration, suiting different learning styles and needs.

Leadership development was another focus area in 2024. We piloted an executive coaching program with 16 participants to equip our leaders with more tools and support to guide our business.

Inclusion

Recognizing our differences as strengths allows us to drive innovation, employee engagement, and customer connection. In line with our values, promoting a culture of awareness and acceptance starts at the top and extends throughout our organization.

Our global inclusion strategy focuses on driving greater business success by attracting and retaining talent, promoting collaboration and forming diverse teams. We strive to foster inclusive work environments across our global footprint.

“Empowering our people is fundamental to operational excellence and sustaining our success. We believe that everyone should be able to reach their full potential, and we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture that enables us.”

Celebrating Our People

In 2024, we regularly shared educational content with our people to raise awareness of cultural events and celebrations. As a multinational organization, we believe appreciation for cultural differences creates greater understanding.

Community Engagement

As a business, we believe in supporting the communities in which we live and work, and encourage our people’s involvement in local activities and charities.

In 2024, we launched the PHINIA Philanthropic Committee to focus on our three core pillars of community engagement – Education, Clean World, and Community Service.

Through our 2024 community engagement, we launched 485 initiatives, including investments in education that we believe assist in building a strong workforce for the future. We also rolled out a charitable donation matching platform in the U.S. to amplify the impact of employees’ charitable contributions.

Health and Safety

In 2024, we held our second annual Global Safety Week, focusing on “Safety FIRST: Elevate your day, every day.” Sites reinforced PHINIA’s commitment to safety through emergency preparedness, shared best practices, and safety and wellness training opportunities.

In 2024, the Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of our global workforce was 0.18, which is within the highest-performing quartile of TRIRs for our manufacturing sector, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data for motor vehicle parts manufacturing companies with 1,000+ employees (top quartile is lower than or equal to 1.4).

The Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) of our global workforce was 0.08, which is within the highest-performing quartile of LTIRs for our manufacturing sector, according to BLS data (top quartile is lower than or equal to 0.2).

Our CEO Safety Awards recognize our facilities that achieve key safety milestones, including 1 million hours worked and at least 12 consecutive months without a recordable incident. We’re proud to say that ten of our sites received this recognition in 2024.
